Have You Noticed The Increase in F-Bomb Speak? Why it’s an Issue.

Ezekiel Diet Note:  Has anyone else noticed the dramatic increase in the use of F-Bombs from more podcast sources than ever before?

Personalities like Joe Rogan will casually throw in an F bomb here and there with an easy matter-of-fact style and lemming podcasters everywhere emulate.

There are so many podcasters today that don’t think anything of using several F-Bombs a minute.  There are times when I’m interested enough to put up with it, so I allow it. More often I just stop the podcast and find something else.

Podcasters need to think outside their circle of foul-mouthed locker room buddies. You’re alienating listeners who really don’t want to hear you dumping your filth in their mind.

Recently, I’ve noticed some podcast personalities that never use the F bomb who let an occasional one slip.  Why is that?

If you allow it, and listen to it over and over you will start using it too.  I know that because I’ve slowly grown completely intolerant to F-Bombs and flinch every time I hear it. But if I allow it in what I’m listening to I will let one slip myself occasionally.

You don’t know who’s listening to your presentations. Young people who don’t normally stoop to foul-mouth speak will be slipping an occasional F bomb in front of parents.  Parents will want to know where they’re hearing this? “Joe Rogan.” Followed by, give me your phone. And Joe loses a listener.

All the foul-mouthed podcasters out there take note. From a lifetime of experience I can assure you that the difference in success and failure is often very subtle. This is one of those subtleties. Joe Rogan is an anomaly.
