Ezekiel Diet Note: Watching MGM Studio’s House of David is a bit frustrating as I found myself asking “where did that come from?”. The producers made numerous changes to the Biblical story. Who would do that?  However, it’s a good series to test your knowledge of the original story. See how many discrepancies you can find from the original scripture. In fact, get a summary version of David’s life before watching.

It’s also a good series to witness how God can manipulate every detail in a person’s life while directing their steps for His purpose. Do you want to know what it means when someone says “God directed my steps”? Watch this series of episodes.

It’s a good lesson too in how God often chooses the most unlikely people to lift up, because He’s more interested in a person’s heart and not their appearance.  The prophet Samuel chuckles, shakes his head and  quips ‘God is funny’ when he realizes a lowly shepherd, fearless teenager is God’s choice for the next King of Israel.

About the Series: House of David – Season One tells the story of the ascent of biblical icon, David, who eventually becomes the most famous king of Israel. The once-mighty King Saul falls victim to his own pride. At the direction of God, the prophet Samuel anoints an outcast teenager as the new king. As one leader falls, another must rise.
